Before Treatment

If you plan to receive cosmetic medicine-based treatments, please ensure that you are not:
Not pregnant or breastfeeding.
No antibiotics or active infection.
No recent dental work.
No recent vaccines/boosters/flu shots(2 weeks before/after treatment).
For facial shaping and volume replacing treatments, avoid international travel for 2 weeks.
Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have further questions.

Unless medically required, cease taking medications and supplements that may increase risk of bleeding and bruising, these include:
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs: Aspirin, Ibuprofen(Nurofen), Diclofenac(Voltaren).
Supplements: Fish oil, Turmeric, Ginger, Vitamin E.
Please inform us if you are currently on Anti-coagulants/Anti-platelets such as Warfarin(Coumadin), Apixaban(Eliquis), Clopidogrel(Plavix).
Avoid facials/peels/lasers/waxing.

Avoid exercise and alcohol.
Avoid actives and exfoliants.

To reduce the risk of infection, please attend your appointment makeup-free.
Ensure you have something to eat and drink before your appointment.
Aftercare

Do not rub or touch the treated area until the next morning. No facial treatments, laser or massage. This is to help avoid any complications.
It is recommended you do not lie down for the next 4-6 hours as you may inadvertently rub the treated areas. For the same reason you shouldn’t do strenuous exercise after treatment. Avoid exposure to any heat treatments such as sauna, hot tub or tanning for up to 48 hours.
Paracetamol is recommended for any headaches or pain. Try to avoid medicines such as ibuprofen (Nurofen) or diclofenac (Voltaren) for the next 24 hours.
There is a small risk of bruising. If this occurs do not worry as it is temporary, its generally minor and can easily be covered up with makeup. Arnica tablets and Hirudoid cream helps reduce bruising.
Your treatment will take 4-7 days to start working. It may take 2 weeks to see the full results. If after 2 weeks, you feel that you still have more muscle movement than expected, then this can be adjusted at your follow up appointment, at an additional cost.
We recommend to book in for a follow up appointment 2 weeks after your treatment.

Do not rub or touch the treated area until the next morning.
Do not consume alcohol for 24 hours after the treatment. Try to avoid lying down or any strenuous exercise for 6 hours after treatment.
It is recommended to avoid extended exposure to sun or UV light and extreme hot or cold temperatures including hot drinks, if your lips have been treated. Avoid facial laser treatment to the treated area for up to four weeks.
For cheek augmentation it is recommended to avoid restrictive headwear, including goggles, sunglasses or motorcycle helmets for up to four weeks.
It is recommended not to apply make up to the treatment area until 12 hours post treatment.
There will be some swelling and bruising, however do not worry as it will only be temporary. Arnica tablets or Hirudoid cream can help reduce bruising.
You may feel lumps for up to 2 weeks, as your body adjusts to the new volume. If you can see any lumps and have concerns please contact us.
We recommend to book in for a follow up appointment 4 weeks after your treatment.
CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY IF YOU EXPERIENCE:
• Fever and/or chills.
• Gross swelling.
• Changes in skin colour: skin blanching, white spots or blotches.
• Severe bruising or dusky/purple discoloration, pimples or pus.
• Severe or increasing pain at the injection site.

Immediately after treatment, you may experience minor itching, redness, or flaking as your skin heals. This is normal and usually happens a few days later when your skin begins to renew itself.
Makeup may be applied 24 hours post treatment.
In the first 48 hours post-treatment, avoid:
Direct sunlight exposure
Intense exercise
Hot showers, baths, spas, or saunas
Avoid using skincare products with active resurfacing ingredients, including AHA, BHA and retinoids for 5 days.
Avoid further clinical treatments, like lasers or chemical peels for 2 weeks.
Refrain from activities such as spray tanning or swimming in chlorinated pools for one week.
Ensure adequate sunscreen application to protect your skin.

There is no downtime after your treatment, however we do recommend you follow the below guidelines to to minimise any unwanted side effects.
The product is injected in small doses under the skin, you may be able to see them as small bumps initially, but they will settle within hours, there is no need to massage.
Avoid rubbing the treated area for 24 hours.
Avoid alcohol and exercise for 24 hours.
Avoid makeup for 24 hours:
Avoid facials/peels/laser/waxing for 2 weeks.
Avoid resurfacing skincare ingredients such as AHAs, BHA and retinoids for 3 days.
Best results are seen after 2 treatments, spaced 4 weeks apart. Your skin will continue to improve and optimise with future maintenance sessions every 6-12 months.
